This has truly been an EXTRA-ordinary season. These EXTRA-ordinary results happen each week because of athletes’ daily physical and mental habits. Practice Habits lead to Competition Habits lead to Competition Results. The success that the world sees on Saturday’s, we see each and every day for months.

This Regional Race was the best experience and practice for the State Championships. This was the fastest and most crowded start that athletes have experienced all season. This is extremely similar to how the State meet will start- fast, physical, and crowded. We now have this experience under our belt and are prepared for it again!

Everyone wants to be a Regional Champion team and State Qualifier, until they realize what it actually takes. We saw each of our athletes BATTLING the physical pain and misery that is racing numerous times throughout the race. We are so very proud of our athletes as they did an EXCELLENT job of resetting their attention to gutting through and fighting through FOR THE TEAM. Athletes giving all their energy and attention to running for their teammates and their team was on full display yesterday. This is our ultimate motivation, athletes are running for each other and THE TEAM. FOR THE TEAM.

For the Strength of the Pack is the Wolf.

The State Championships are ultimately no different than any other race- racing 5000 meters as fast as possible FOR THE TEAM. This is exactly what athletes have done for weeks on end all fall and for years. Saturday is nothing new or different than what athletes have done before- THEY ARE PREPARED. Again- practice habits lead to competition habits lead to competition results.

The goal for this upcoming week is to be as FRESH and as FAST as possible. This is the PEAK week. Everything that we have done since June has been for this moment in time. Athletes are prepared – Athletes are ready.
