The #1 seeded Blue Aces hosted the 17th seeded Hamilton Township Rangers in the first round of the OHSAA Division 2 state tournament on Wednesday night. After both teams were unable to practice for the past couple days due to inclement weather, a sluggish start left Granville up 6-0 with just 3 minutes remaining in the first quarter. From there, the Aces went on a 46-5 run over the next three quarters to hold a 52-5 lead going into the fourth. Hamilton clawed back and had a competitive 13-9 4th to end the game 65-14. Ella Wigal led the Aces with 15 points, as nine players entered the scorebook overall. Granville moves on to the Sectional FInal, where they will host the #15 seeded Columbus School for the Girls Unicorns on Friday night at 7:30.
